by Lisa Norberg on 2021-11-04T17:12:10-04:00 | 0 Comments

We could not be more excited to welcome James Edward Malin to The Cooper Union Library as our new Engineering and Science Librarian.

James is a science librarian and native New Yorker. He holds an MA in Food Studies from New York University and a library degree from Palmer. James comes to Cooper from NYU, where he supported basic sciences at Bobst's Coles Science Center, but also worked closely with the Rory Meyers Nursing community and collaborated with the Bern Dibner Library at Tandon. He cares deeply about service and believes dearly in collaborative work, interdisciplinary academics, and hands-on teaching and instruction. In his spare time James volunteers his library skills for community service and betterment: his most recent project was working with the Librarian Reserve Corps to evaluate the completeness and immediacy of five emergency COVID-19 literature databases. James is happy to serve and liaise with Cooper's Engineering and Science community and cannot wait to meet you all!
