Alumni Children's Book Collection

by Mackenzie Williams on 2024-07-01T00:00:00-04:00 in Art, Cooper Union, Education, Workforce | 0 Comments

Flying school buses. Rainbow trains. House-sized dogs. Magical crayons.

These images and many more came from the minds and hands of Cooper grads, professional children's book illustrators who once climbed the same steps to class as Cooper students do today.

The Alumni Children's Book Collection was started as a means of rounding up the work of these illustrators and making their books available to current students as inspiration, and an example of one of the many things you can do with a Cooper degree.

From buildings to blockbusters, candy to comedy, Cooper alumni are everywhere, making the world better, and this collection illustrates just one small facet of their effect.

The Alumni Children's Book Collection is on display now in the library atrium. You can also view a list of these books in the library catalog via bit.ly/cooperkids

Exhibit curated by James Mitchell. Have questions about this collection? Contact us at library@cooper.edu
