Last week, the Great Hall at The Cooper Union hosted a panel of labor representatives discussing the work they do and reflecting on why they do it in the context of labor history. On the Eve of May Day: Labor Then and Now was incredibly education and shockingly fun - you can watch the recording here: greathallvoices.cooper.edu/Detail/programs/3803
While gathering historical resources to support the event, we realized that The Cooper Union Library and Archives collectively hold a LOT of information about organized labor - a combination of materials accumulated through the role that the institution has played as a community meeting place, and acquired texts for courses taught at The Cooper Union.
As information workers, our first thought is almost invariably: how can I share this with others? Thus we bring you a Guide to Organized Labor Resources!
Please enjoy the resources on this guide, and don't hesitate to let us know at archives@cooper.edu if you have any questions.
