Cooper Library Information
To access the Library's online resources—including ebooks, journal articles, newspapers and more—while off-campus, you will need the 14-digit barcode number that is on the back side of your Cooper Union ID card. If you don't have an ID card yet, you recently lost your card, or you are just not sure which number to use, don't worry! Just complete and submit the library account request form and we will make send or confirm your library barcode number.
Whether you are starting from the Bobcat online catalog, our A-Z list of databases, our list of E-Journals or elsewhere, when you click on the link for the resource you need, you will be taken to a page that prompts you to enter your barcode number. Be sure to enter all 14 digits without spaces or dashes and press [enter]. You should go directly to the resources you need. If you see the message "That number was not accepted. Please send email to circulation@cooper.edu to report the problem and we will get back to you ASAP", please do email us and we will fix the problem right away.
If you have any trouble accessing a resource or finding the information you need, you can always chat with or email a librarian directly.

REFINING SEARCH RESULTS
Because 2020-21 courses will be conducted online, we will be making course reserved readings available electronically. Please submit a request for the articles or chapter(s) you need (2 chapters per request, please), and we will email you the file in PDF.
If you are not sure of the title or author of the text you need, you can search the Course reserves module—the right-most tab of the search box on the Library's homepage.
